Her home features many pieces of her own lighting collection and art pieces that perfectly demonstrate Neill’s principles of design. She demonstrates the dichotomy of historic and antique elements versus modern designs by skillfully pairing pieces such as a pair of antique Italian demi loon tables with contemporary monoprints by her friend Katie Rafferti hanging above one table and oils on paper by Kevin Gillentine hanging above the other table. In the kitchen, Neill treated the space to look more like a dining room. At the center of the kitchen, there is an 18th century printer’s table, used as a dining table, that has the original ink stains and is paired with her favorite Schumacher fabric, Bunny, on the upholstered dining chairs and roman shades and trimmed in Schumacher’s Gainsborough Velvet. As a personal element, she hung a set of 3 shadow boxes featuring pearl collars her mother wore in the 1950s. Additionally featured in Neill’s home are Schumacher’s Binary fabric upholstered on art deco chairs and Villa de Medici by Mary McDonald for Schumacher on an accent pillow in the main bedroom.
